Directions and hotels
To get to Hannover University:
- by train: get off at Hannover main station and either walk to the Welfenschloss (25 minutes according to google maps) or walk to the close-by tram station "Kröpcke". From there, either take line 4 or 5 heading to Garbsen or Stöcken respectively and get off at "Leibniz Universität" (just three stops from Kröpcke, costs 1,6 EUR (Kurzstreckenkarte)).
- by plane: Hannover has a small airport at Langenhagen. From there, take a local train (S5) to the main train station. Hannover also has direct (fast) train connections to the international airports of Hamburg and Frankfurt. See Bahn homepage for directions.
- by car: see link "How to reach Leibniz University"
Recommended hotel:
We have arranged a room contingent for you at the Cityhotel am Thielenplatz. With the keyword "Bessenrodt Kolloquium", you may book a single room at university conditions. The price is then 75,50 € plus 12,50 for breakfast per night. You will get the special price only by writing an e-mail to the Cityhotel am Thielenplatz and enter the keyword. The booking engine of the hotel does not know anything about the special conditions. E-mail: hannover@smartcityhotels.com.
The contingent will be available until 24.06.2021 or as long as the contingent is not fully booked
The Cityhotel am Thielenplatz is located about 3 min. walking distance from the main railway station and also offers parking spaces for participants arriving by car.
